Team work

Working in partnership is really important for the Believe & Achieve Trust as it means we can achieve so much more than working on our own.

We love it when schools get involved as young people continually inspire us and we want them to always “believe and achieve” – just as Alex did. He regularly visited schools to encourage them to believe in themselves and achieve the best they could.

Now schools can help us raise funds easily through activities like dress down/up days, cake sales, sponsored activities and collections at any little shows they do. Most importantly, with our meningitis signs and symptoms cards, we can ensure children, parents and teachers are armed with life saving information.

Companies can help us in so many ways. Whether you adopt us as your chosen charity or decide to support us for a single activity, you will not only be helping us raise vital funds but also ensuring your staff are made aware of meningitis and what to look out for.

Your company should:

  • Encourage staff to organise their own fundraising such as cake sales, dress down days, tombolas and raffles – none of which take too much time when everyone is busy but bring teams together.

  • Sponsor all or part of one of our fundraising events such as the Christmas Concert or Ball.

  • Take a table at the Ball and bring along some customers to enjoy a great evening.

  • Provide staff to volunteer for an hour or 2 during working hours to help with handing out meningitis signs and symptoms cards at a local store or shopping area.

  • Encourage your suppliers and/or customers to support The Believe & Achieve Trust and work with you to make a difference to the lives of children and young people

Working Together

Alex was the Founding Young Ambassador for Meningitis Now (previously Meningitis Trust) and we are thrilled to be able to continue working with them. We work with the charity in 3 specific ways.

We work together raising awareness of meningitis and promoting inclusive sport. Astley Sports Village also support all our events and hold their own events for us to help raise the vital funds we need to do our work. Check them out here

The College run the “Believe and Achieve” coaching programme, supporting inclusive sport for all and development of coaching skills. They also raise awareness of meningitis. We are proud to be able to support young people to pursue sporting opportunities.

Denton Town FC promotes awareness of meningitis throughout the club and help us raise funds through collections and supporting our events. We are delighted that, through our grants programme. We are excited to work with local teams like Denton Town to make a wider impact on the community.
